You’re perfectly placed in Storth to enjoy some of the Lake District’s best walks without going far. Just minutes away, Arnside Knott offers an easy climb with stunning views over Morecambe Bay, while Gummer's How is a short drive and rewards you with panoramic views over Lake Windermere. For something quick and accessible, Orrest Head is perfect, or you can try the unique Fairy Steps just a 10 minute walk from the cottage.
Cycling the Lakes
Hire a bike and take on the quiet lanes around Storth and the wider South Lakeland countryside, or head further afield into the fells for a proper Lake District cycling day out.
Bird Watching
The Kent Estuary is a haven for wading birds and waterfowl, especially at low tide. Grab a pair of binoculars and see what you can spot right from the doorstep, or head a little further to RSPB Leighton Moss near Silverdale, home to bitterns, marsh harriers, and one of the largest reedbeds in the north west. There is also Foulshawmoss nature reserve where Ospreys can be found.

OUR STORY
Sea view Cottage is a place that means a lot to us. I was raised in Arnside, growing up on Arnside Tower Farm, surrounded by the views and peaceful lifestyle that make this area so special. Life eventually took us to the city as our family grew, but we never lost our connection to this beautiful part of the world.
That’s exactly why we chose Sea view Cottage, to stay connected to Arnside and Storth while sharing it with others. It’s a place we truly care about, and we hope every guest enjoys it as much as we do.

Lovely house in the picturesque South Lakes. Perfect base for country walks to the local towns and the perfect place for a quiet break away. Enjoyed a comfortable and peaceful stay in the cottage. In a lovely part of the country with lots of nice walks on the doorstep. We’ll be back to explore the area more at some point and would definitely stay here again. It’s handy to have the village shop outside the back gate too and the shower was nice and powerful after a long walk with the dog!
